Alexandria Port Passenger Terminal
Of all the ports we stopped at, the passenger terminal at the Port of Alexandria was by far the nicest and most modern. It was well organized and very clean. The landscaping on the pier (pictured) gave a great first impression of the city.
Right next to where the ship docked was a large terminal building. This building was also very clean and modern. It looked (both inside and out) like a three-story shopping mall, with escalators and room for dozens of shops. There was just one problem. It was completely empty. There wasn't a single store open in the entire place. The only sign of life inside were the two security guards manning the metal detector that you had to pass through before returning to the ship.
