Havana - Day 1
Being part of the People-to-People program meant we had to stay with the group and follow their agenda. Most of the time that was OK, because the group was visiting places we wanted to visit anyway, but as a large group, a lot of time is wasted, and we didn't get as close an interaction as we would have liked.
We did get to go out for dinner on our own. We sat at one of the street-side restaurants and I had what was probably the tastiest piece of chicken I've ever eaten. We walked the streets after dark, feeling completely safe the whole time.
Many people spent the evening visiting the Tropicana, or seeing Opera de la Calle, but we were exhausted so we went to bed early.
